What is GudoCam?

GudoCam is an AI camera app for beginner photographers. It overlays real-time composition guides on the viewfinder, automatically recognizing 14 composition types (rule of thirds, golden ratio, vanishing point, and more), and provides on-demand shooting advice from an LLM.

Which 14 compositions does GudoCam recognize?

Subject placement — Center Vertical, 1/3 Vertical, 2/3 Vertical, Cross, Triangle — and structural framing — Triple Vertical, Triple Horizontal, Radial 1–4, Center Horizontal — plus a default 'no guideline' mode.

Does GudoCam generate AI images?

No. GudoCam never generates photos. It only coaches you to take better photos yourself — every shot is one you actually captured.

Is GudoCam free?

Yes, the app is free on the App Store. AI shooting advice runs on a ticket system; daily free tickets are provided.

Does it run on-device or in the cloud?

Composition guideline detection runs on a local Core ML model on your phone — images never leave the device for this step. The AI Shooting Advice feature is delivered through an external LLM, so only when you tap that opt-in feature does the current frame get sent to the server.

Does GudoCam store my photos on the server?

No. GudoCam does not store your photos on any server. When you request AI Shooting Advice the current frame is sent to the LLM provider only to generate that response, and nothing is retained on our side.

What is the AI Shooting Coach?

Tap once on the camera screen and an LLM analyzes the current frame, returning feedback on composition, lighting, subject placement, and zoom — like a professional photographer looking over your shoulder.

Is GudoCam the same as Gudak Cam?

No. Gudak Cam is a separate retro film-camera app by a different developer. GudoCam (구도캠) is an AI composition-guide app. They are unrelated products.
